This policy explains how UpZoned™ (“UpZoned”, “we”, “us”) handles the information you share when you list your property or use this site. By submitting the property form, you agree to this policy.

What we collect

• What you give us through the form: your name, email and phone; your street address if you choose to share it; details about your property (type, location, current zoning, what it now allows, estimated value range, mortgage range and timeline); your comments; and whether you’re open to a land assembly with neighbours.
• What we collect automatically: basic technical data such as your IP address and the date and time you submitted the form, used to keep the service secure and to prevent spam.

How we use it

We use your information to contact you about your property and your options; to connect you with vetted partner professionals (such as realtors, lenders and developers) who can present options; and to operate, secure and improve the service. We rely on the consent you give when you submit the form, and on our legitimate interest in running the service.

What we share, and when

We don’t publish your name or street address publicly, and we don’t sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

• Before you’re matched: your approximate area and your comments may be shown to vetted professionals so they can express interest.
• Once you’re matched: your contact details are shared with that partner professional so they can reach you.
• Service providers that help us run the service (for example, email and hosting), under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal reasons: where required by law, or to protect rights, property or safety.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time — just send us a request through our contact form (choose “Remove my details / privacy request”). Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under laws such as Canada’s PIPEDA, U.S. state privacy laws like California’s CCPA/CPRA, or the Australian Privacy Act, and we honour the rights that apply to you. You can unsubscribe from our messages at any time. Information already shared with a matched professional is then also subject to that professional’s own privacy practices.

Communications and consent

By submitting the form, you consent to be contacted by UpZoned and by the professionals we match you with — by email, phone or text — about your property and your options. We aim to follow the rules that apply, including Canada’s CASL, the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and TCPA, and Australia’s Spam Act. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Where your information is handled

We operate in Canada, the United States and Australia, so your information may be processed in any of these countries, with the protections required by applicable law.

Children

This service is intended for adults and is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
